If you don't have anti-virus/firewall running get a mag from the shop with free anti-virus or firewall. Install before you go online and then have a good luck round. The last time I went online "naked" so to speak without virus or antivirus, My pc was brought down within 20 seconds, took ages to fix as well. Otherwise www.mininova.org for everything free. and have a look at sandboxing. this does away with anti-virus and firewalls by building a virtual machine inside your pc.
