Anyone been recently? Went for the first time ever on Saturday night. £3.95 a pint for "watered down" lager Poor quality and minimal food portions (prawn cocktail as in 1 prawn) and a club turn who would have got bottled out of the Rad n Lib. First time and last time. Vastly over rated.
Not been for years but I've heard others rate it in a similar way to you JT. £3.95 a pint, do they think they're in Brighton or Peterborough or summet.
Choice of lager was Stella and Becks on pump. Rushed through food courses. Over an hour to wait for "turn" to start. On for an hour exactly then asked audience if we wanted more-deathly silence followed. All this for £32.50. Oh and not forgetting the ten bob millionaires!
£32:50....hmmm I went to see the Rolling Stones supported by Cheryl Crowe on their Bridges to Babylon tour in sheffield...tickets were £27 each......well over 4 hours entertainment. Seems a piss take by Brooklands.
Re: £32:50....hmmm Like i said i won't be back. I thought back in the day it was well renowned for it's service and choice.
It's Utter Bilge Went recently, only because I won a voucher in a raffle. Wouldn't go if paying full whack. Food was expensive, small portions, tasteless and not even properly hot. Beer/wine expensive beyond reasonableness, even for a so-called "posh" venue. If I had a dog I wouldn't give him the kitchen leftovers, and I bet there's loads of those. Utter crap.
Went Friday .. absolute ****e Crammed too many people into the function room, could hardly shift the tables were so close together - bit of a fire risk. There was a Take That tribute band on that didn't look like them or sound like them even when p1ssed - more like "Take the ****". Snap was nowt to write home about and beer's expensive. All in all a big turn off.
Re: Went Friday .. absolute ****e And forgot to mention the venue was un-heated on a bloody cold night. A lot to learn.
