Says fans were a disgrace, he said in 2nd half all they did was shout 'Davey Out' and boo Odejayi everytime he got ball. Now how the **** is that going to help the team, if you can't support them then don't go!
I think if you spend well over an £100 to fund this game, spend most of the day travelling and get home close to mid-night, it's not for someone who didn't go to the game to take the moral high ground on what fans should/shouldn't shout at a match. I agree abuse doesn't help anyone and wouldn't do so myself. On the other hand, I can understand the frustration of those fans at the game today and why they vented their feelings like they did
But the booing of Odejayi was completely out of order The players were told to play that system Odejayi was playing to orders and as I have said elsewhere even Drogba would have been ineffective with that system. One classic example in second half ball cleared to KO he controlled the ball looked to pass - no one there, beat a man looked to pass no one moving - got surrounded by 3 players - still no one there so rather than lose it at the half way line he hoofed it to the corner flag - cue lots of boos and cries of who's that to - and to be honest other than lose the ball I dont know what else he could have done. I dont even agree with boing the manager during a game - but more understandable
agreed Booing him when he is trying helps nobody, certainly doesn't help him when he's giving it his best. Booing or directing your anger at the manager is slightly different in my opinion as he does have the ability to change things and often chooses not to. ie he isn't managing once the game kicks off.
Against booing too. Totally negative influence. Anyway, win next Saturday guaranteed to be out of bottom 3.
I booed neither Davey nor Odejayi (until after the final whistle went and I was coming out of the stand) but I can understand why a lot did. I'd not ever criticse Odejayi loudly when I'm at a game. I might write on here that he's rubbish, or tell the person next to me that I don't rate him, but I won't shout it out so that Odejayi might hear it. The guy is patently not good enough, but he does try his best - so you can't ask any more. What you can do is to loudly protest about the chump who continually picks him to do a job that he's ill-equipped to carry out. There are a million and one reasons to question Davey at the minute. We're rotten, and the buck stops with one man. I think people are entitled to bitch as much as they want when they've travelled for hours to watch that load of rubbish. I, personally, try my damndest to keep my emotions in check because I don't see how it helps the team. Patrick Cryne and Simon Davey would presumably not care what an unshaven idiot like me thinks, anyway. I can understand others wanting to get their point across, though. We're really, really poor. It's almost Spackmanesque in its ineptitude. You can't expect people who care deeply to keep their counsel all the time. It's just not going to happen. If matters don't improve then the fanbase will turn a hell of a lot nastier in the coming weeks. I can't say as I blame them.
Do you mean to say that we get our first away point of the season and people were booing at the end. I don't care how much any of you spent, if you feel like that stay at home. You're helping nobody. I did the bulk of my away travel between 1980 and 1994 and considered myself an asset to the team. You lot sound like a millstone.
It was a small but vocal group doing the booing Most fans were supporting the team but there was an element who seemed to think it more important to voice their displeasure at the Manager and unfortunatley KO during the game. I cant see how that does anyone any good
