Cant understand why people are saying what they are... I think he's been great at RB.

I get the feeling if he hadn't come out and said he prefers CB, no one would have mentioned it, it's a case of judgement being clouded, rather than actually watching what's happening IMO

100% agree, Brown looks very confortable on the ball, likes to get forward, has good pace and he is regularly whipping balls in to right area with quality... a natural full back.... he set up Winnal with a great cross for header on Saturday for our second...

So why why why the obsession to move him to centre back... we already have 3 able centre backs in Naytanga, Mvoto and Crainie... and no need to sign another right full back as we have Bree, Bailey, Crainie can all cover RB if needed....

To add to that Donny who I have spoken to said he was 'awful' when they played him at CB on loan. and he hasn't pulled up any trees at Watford... Danny has brought him in played him in a position where he looks very comfortable and I would go as far as to say on showing so far he is best right back I have seen at the club since John Curtis... hardly put a foot wrong

If it aint broke don't fix it! back four looking better every game...

Priority should be to sign Dudgeon permenantly or bring in left full back...

I think some fans are finding it difficult right now to find the annual target player to criticise. We aren't used to not having one ;)

Think we should sign Dani Alves and have Maicon as cover on bench missen.

Its true we can't agree on a scapegoat, especially as Winnall who had entered the running spoilt it by scoring so we need a rethink. I guess as the last 2 have been full backs that's a good place to start

And especially RNL now isn't playing the hot favourite, seems like this is harder than ever.

On a serious note, I just wish we could go a full season supporting the team, every player and manager. Results help but can we for once support, unequivocally first and criticise second. It ain't too long ago we criticised players who hadn't even kicked a ball

Completely agree. Faultless against Gillingham. Claimed 2 assists as well.
Looks eager going forward, and composed defensively. I think him, with competition from Bree and cover in the form of Cranie is enough for us at right back.

The last two you refer to weren't scapegoats they were just rather poor footballers with no ******** or heart.

My issue with Brown was that he didn't like to get forward in the home games v Crawley & Crew but from what I've heard about the two away games & from what I saw yesterday Brown looks to have either been told to get forward more or found the confidence to get forward more & had a superb game

Why should he get forward? He's a defender. That's like slating a midfield player for not scoring 15 goals in a season.

The problem we've had the last few years is that we've had full backs who look good going forward then are found wanting when we get beaten on the counter attack. With the attacking threat we currently possess, i'd be more than happy for our full backs to fully concentrate on staying back and defending as both Jennings and Treacy when fully fit are more than capable of supplying from the wings.

In Danny's post match interview he said that the full backs didn't get forward enough in the first half.

He also said that full back is a position that can win you games (in an attacking sense).

In that case I'd agree that Brown didn't get forward enough but he doesn't seem that type of player to me. Although he has got an exceptional eye for a pass though.

I think Brown would benefit from having a winger such as Jennings or Treacy in front of him. someone to pass to who can run at defenders

Because we aren't a bottom 6 side this season.

Teams that are on top attack in numbers & everyone except the centre backs & holding midfielder join in.

I want to see our full backs getting to the byline & putting crosses in

I think the young lad had an excellent game yesterday. Solid in defence, comfortable on the ball, good distribution. Also, he laid the ball off for Hourihane for the first goal and put in a perfect cross for our second. It's difficult to understand what more the lad could do.

There are still people out there who would prefer a one paced Hassell at Right Back.
By the way has he found a club yet?

Bit of a bizarre comment that. And what's with the pathetic dig at the end?

I've not seen one person say Hassell should be our current right back.

I think most of us who wanted Hassell to stay saw him playing the holding midfield role or playing at centre back
