Bruce Dyer's opinion on Hassell being dropped - taken from his FB page

Just got home from New Years night and catching up with latest info @bfc_official and I see Bobby Hassell not even on the bench ??? This decision confirms a lot of things to me . How can someone who has such experience in battling relegation and over coming those battles not been involved in a relegation battle ??

There is no way on earth you can tell me Bobby is not good enough to be in that current barnsley squad ??

My personal belief it's nothing to do with football its other reasons and if I am being honest I think Bobby has been treated so unfairly and to be excluded out the squad just sums it all up for me .

This is why I say it can be a cruel game football . Its things like this that makes me so annoyed with football . The commitment and loyalty Bobby has shown BFC over these 9 years cannot be questioned .

I know Bobby very well and I can honestly say he has been sincere and kept is head down and has never bad mouthed the previous manger ( keith Hill) or David Flitcroft but my honest view is some mangers can't cope when a player is loved by the board , fans and a community (which Bob is ) its not bobby fault , all he has ever done is built honest relationships with the Club , fans and the community and has gave all his mangers 110% , it not Bobby fault that fans chant his name , Bobby is a real humble guy and I am sadden at the way he has been treated and I think if he was to leave the club like this and not get a testimonial in my opinion that's sooooooo not right but hey that's just my opinion and after all what do I know ??

I'd love to hear the justification for dropping Bobby and if Flitctoft is going to continue with the vendetta then he can follow his mate back over the Pennines. How can Bobby not be good enough to get in this bloody awful team?

 

Spot on Bruce. Our ex and current mgmt are truly pathetic. Need to rid our club of flitcroft too.

 

I do wonder if Bobby has been a bit more vocal to Hill than the other players. Hill comes across as the type of bloke that would cut his nose off to spite his face.

 

If this is what's happening the should have been sacked for misconduct IMO putting their own grievances before club that feeds em

 

Hassell is still club captain and is thye vocal point between the players and management
