I found Belgium boring when I went, well we had a great party in our hotel rooms but that's a different story. Others say it's good though.

    I'd choose Rotterdam personally.

    Bruges or Zeebrugge?

I'd choose Bruges but I'm guessing you're not looking to do much sightseeing.

A few of lads have said Brugge is nice but a bit touristy.....basically we go away every year to celebrate life of a lad who sadly passed away 5 years ago so we're just after as many ale houses as possible

Never been to Rotterdam but Bruges is well worth a visit. Great for food, beer, sightseeing, beer, chocolate, beer...lyou get the idea ;)

Cruise more relaxing too...Rotterdam one is up earlier in the morning, full of stag do's (heading to Amsterdam ), good night out on the way out though. Usually quiet coming back...these kids today can't take the pace :p

I went to Rotterdam to watch the Tour de France. Doesn't strike me as a holiday destination.

I would recommend going to Amsterdam. The coach from the Rotterdam port takes 1 hr 30 mins so you would only get 5 or 6 hours but it would worth it.

Alternatively you could get the Newcastle (north shields) to Amsterdam cruise. This drops you off at a port about 20 mins from Amsterdam.

I know this because I've been to Amsterdam 3 times and I've gone both ways.

Rotterdam largely rebuilt after WW2.and fairly boring. So Brugge no brainer.

You're right. Been singing it in my head since I posted. It's stuck there now.
