team that played last season in division five is the team to be rusty against and not a championship side when it really matters (Y) (Y) (Y)

    Hassell was very unimpressive

For the first few months after he signed . He didn't do too badly once he'd found his feet and settled in .

One of our best, and most consistent, players last season - if I would've voted for player of the season it would've been for him.

Bought me a pint in the Walkabout after the final game last season so I won't hear a word against him!!!

    :D

Ooh you're so easily bought , you hussy !!!

He has been our most consistant defender for two and a half years , but his form when he first came was certainly below what was expected .

But it was a whole pint, for God's sake, I'm only human Kev!!! Actually, it was a whole round for me, a mate and two lasses one of whom is a massive Reds fan - it was a case of "you'll never guess who's bought us these"!!!

A proper gent, especially considering how pissed I was! Looks a right proper bruiser close up as well - 'cos he's short and bit boyish-looking I never actually realised but he's very solidly built...

I remember seeing him in the friendly against Leicester (?) pre-season, 04-05 and I thought he played well - I've always rated him. For a short bloke he can jump well and doesn't take any sh*t - plays with a lot of spirit too which, to me, is probably the most important thing...

I met him when Laura was a mascot

Lovely bloke , nothing was too much trouble for him . A true gentleman .
However , his form at the beginning of the 2004/05 season left a lot to be desired ( the 4-3 defeat against Luton stands out in my mind ) . However , the turning point for me was the 2-2 draw at home to Swindon , a few days after the debacle against Doncaster . He had an outstanding game that day , playing at centre half for the first time .
