Right peeps, I'm feed up of sky now, ok it's my fault for not checking but been paying for multi room and I thought I'd cancelled it 6 months ago, Anyway anyone on here with bt for tv and infinity ? Please let me know your thoughts
Since we finally got superfast broadband here it has been excellent. Can't fault the service at all. I have BT TV, Broadband and the phone line. No problems.
I can't complain about the broadband, its very good. I work from home about three days a week so I rely on it and in the two years I've had it there have only been a couple of minor outages and one major outage (a couple of weeks ago).
Worrabart Virgin Media? BB has never dropped off yet for us. I'm on the 152mb package and it's usually well in excess of that. It's going up to 200mb soon, I think. Get BT Sport thrown in with the TV package.
Had the Broadband for numerous years now.Not the cheapest on the market but the quality and service has been excellent so that will do me.
After being a Sky customer for 12 years I finally had enough, this was around this time last year, I went through the process of cancelling everything and then put my Sky+HD box in a cupboard. I am now subscribing to both services and when my contract with BT TV runs its course I may well bin it. Both companies increase prices , packages once you are a customer. The bottom line ,if you want worry free, legal and realiable Sunday afternoon Monday night and playoff coverage / matches then there is only Sky. It is the best for English football hands down. It is up to us to decide if we watch enough to justify the monthly subscription. I have to miss most of the BT live games because I go to Barnsley matches and although I get the european games as a TV and Infinity customer, I am not that interested if truth be told. When I got my Sky box back out and was reconnected over the phone within minutes .... at 50% my previous rate for 12 months it was like a breath of fresh air, a well laid out interface, doesnt lock up MUCH, and a proper selection of channels OK a lot of garbage, but so are some Youview channels I though to myself, if you can afford it, its the best service hands down and I can get access to the PPV boxing events which you cannot any other way (legally) As for service I have BT infinity and the Broadband is rock solid, BT Youview is OK. The box does lock up quite often which requires a power cycle. I might have to contact BT about this but as its relegated to the kidies room now with the kids TV package Im not that bothered. I might get the whole Sky Broadband TV package ultimately or pay minumum BT TV to retain the European games. One benefit of being a BT Infinity customer is that the BT Mobile (Took over EE) SIM only tarrifs are very good value for money. Weigh up your options and make sure you will have no regrets. Bare in mind when you cancel sky your sky go service is terminated but your online account is still active, so sometime down the line you may well get a click here to come back to us option at a discount rate. Good luck which ever you choose.
Would never ever have a sky tv package. Apart from the fact that the price is outrageous and apart from the fact that i wouldn't on principle, i just dont watch enough telly to get anywhere near justifying it. We pay 7 quid a month for netflix, just to have another option when there is nowt on't telly, and we had to think twice about that. we have never had any other broadband other than BT, and it is fine. Speeds are ok with infinity, we have only ever had one outage which was due to a line fault which they fixed in 2 days, and the customer service is pretty good for a large company. As mentioned by someone else, there are cheaper packages, but as I work from home when I am not booked on a customer site, I would never entertain moving and risking getting an inferior quality or unreliable service.
I had Virgin before BT and it was an excellent service, I was very reluctant to leave them if I'm honest but circumstances dictated otherwise. I'd say they were equally as good as BT at the very least.
