To be fair, I admire the way in which Sheff United have handled themselves over the last few years There hasn't been a massive injection of cash from a money man, they've grafted over a long term plan and gradually rebuilt their fortunes. They have put a good side together which plays positive attacking football with a determined never say die attitude. Never has a club come so close to staying up - they haven't gone and spent silly money this year, they made a couple of sensible purchases, but always kept their feet on the ground. For me (not that such sentiment matters) they deserved to stay up. There are reasons to dislike both Wigan (rich man's toy) and West Ham (cheats). Plus, Sheffield United, although a local derby game for us, they are at the end of the day, a Yorkshire side and now there is nobody flying the flag in the top flight.
I've always preferred Sheff United to Wednesday (who I find more pompous, arrogant, and presumptious) and I think fortune really shat on them today. Don't get me wrong, next year, I hope we finish above them, but for this moment in time, I genuinely feel gutted for them - even if Warnock is a ****.

RE: Pissing myself laughing when it showed Warnock! nt what got me was when Warnock came on at the start of the match, you could see in his body language, the way he was with Jewell that he hadn't even thought about being relegated, it was all about, "we're safe, all the best to you". And the fans were partying, balloons all over the place, they cockily thought they were safe already. Was really funny as the second half drew on, watching them realise what it all meant. Gonna be fun seeing them eating humble pie at Oakwell next season
