One doesn't have to like Wilko's or the Feelgoods music for that matter, Wilko's (recent) story is quite heart rendering - one could see in his eyes that whilst outwardly he was a brave, no, very brave man, he was on 'death row' The film/documentary was well put together (as one would expect from Julien Temple - who just happens to be a big fan btw) with excellent references to death/the grim reaper etc. Just a pity there was not a lot of footage around from the 70's - the Feelgoods were seriously good for an all too brief time in the mid 70's - what did surprise me was the lack of contributions from people who learned a lot from Wilko (Weller, Clash, Geldof etc) His mind must be well and truly ****** - I know mine would have been. I've seen him play many a time locally - Birdwell/Sheffield/Donny spring to mind. His drummer Dylan Howe did tweet me to say the band was working on new material........the film did intimate that quite a bit of the new material had the theme of death running through it. I'm an atheist -as is Wilko - but the phrase that keeps coming to me is 'God bless you Wilko' - ironic really. The film is highly recommended
