i think the problem for vaughan is that he hasnt scored any runs at all for ages, he is a poor one day player so in my opinion would have been better playing for yorkshire in the 4 dayers and left the one day game alone. he shouldnt be involved in one day cricket cos he is poor at it. he is extremely talented at test cricket and his class will shine through as soon as he gets a decent score.

Vaughan really neds to get a good score soon to get his confidence up, cos at the moment he just looks like a man with sod all confidence in his own ability

I'm undecided on this, but I must say that there are better one day players than Vaughan who I'd like to see in.

However, Trescothick's captaincy skills are quite frankly appalling from what I've seen, so I don't fancy him being in charge!

Iv got no arguments at all with Vaughans captaincy, but it seems to be having a massive effect on his own batting.. A few years ago his batting was quality on a regular basis, now he is struggling to get a score of any note.. I fully agree that he would be better of dropping out of the 1 dayers and get stuck into some batting with Yorks in the county championship

i wouldnt be hasty and take the captaincy off him, i dont think it does affect him. what he achieved the other summer when he became no. 1 batter in the world was exceptional but i doubt he would have achieved that again even without the captaincy. vaughans problem for me is that he isnt opening, look at those stats not the ones of him being captain. he should still be opening batter thats were all his big scores have come from.

I definitely wouldnt take the captaincy off him, but if he cant cope with the pressure of being captain and coming in at three, im not sure if he could cope with opening and captaincy.
