I hope Flicker is critical of the team when he get's interviewed and doesn't start with all the "we took a lot from this game" b0ll0cks... Sounds like O'Grady had a couple of decent opportunities, Dagnall anonymous again, then Flicker replaces Digby with Mellis but switches him to the right of midfield where he has a track record for being useless. 4-4-2 doesn't let us get the best out of our players at all. Charlton next and they, like us, have lost their opening two games. If we don't beat them, or god forbid end up getting beat, then we're in serious trouble already. Dear Flicker, Play 5-3-2, play Mellis in the middle and stop pi$$ing about in the search for a striker. Many Thanks.
I think we are now the only team in the Championship not to have scored a goal, the only slight crumb of comfort is that most of the other teams aren't exactly banging them in for fun either.
Looking at the midfielders we have and the limited number of positions then Dawson shouldn't be starting games when the others are fit. He seemed to be getting a lot of the ball when he was on the right (according to the commentary) but couldn't do anything with it, Mellis is then on the right and the only time I heard his name mentioned was when he conceded a foul.
If he doesn't want to play 352 why doesn't he play 451? 442 is such a flat formation seems like nobody wants to move out off there zone! Don't seem like he likes the idea off 1 up top. But think o'grady is more than capable of doing a job on his own. As long as we get mellis, cywka or Jennings up to give him some good support
The difference between the style of Hill and Flicker was simply Flicker's team getting the ball forward much earlier and not passing around in our own half, and that's pretty much it, yet we seem to have reverted back to Hill's style. It doesn't matter if you are ten points adrift at the bottom of the league, or on zero points at the start of a season, the games are won in exactly the same way.
