    Hi all,

I am in need for a builder who could come and do a quote for me for a full rennovation of a period property...

The house would probably need new wiring and plumbing, and a new roof, external pointing, internal plastering, boiler refit, and fitting of a kitchen and bathroom...

Anyone know someone who could come out and give a free quotation??

    Thanks

You have to be careful, is it listed, because you can't just put anything you want on it

    Hi SuperTyke,

I forgot to mention the house is in Wakefield?

Wpuld your inspection/quote include a full price break down and timescale for each element?

    Thanks

Sorry Judd I was taking the piss. 18 quid was my quote for the whole job.

Are you sure that getting one person in to do everything is the best way to go? You could save a fortune by breaking the project down into seperate smaller tasks and hiring tradesmen to do them individually.

From what youve said it doesnt actually sound too complicated to manage. Get a roofer in for the roof and a builder in to point the outside and the job is suddenly much smaller. A plumber will give you a quote for a new bathroom boiler and full replumb. An electrician for a full rewire and then get a plasterer in for a single quote and lastly a joiner for the kitchen and any finishing touches.

Pike I say you'll save a fortune and if you break it down as I said you wont lose any time either.

I thought you meant £18 for the quote...

Thanks for the advice thought sounds a much better plan... I suppose im just wanting someone to give me a timescale, order for the works and then a approximate budget for each job...

I'll defo utilise your suggestions when instructing tradesmen.

    Thanks again
