its certainly lookin like the pennys dropped 4 keef, dont expect the fans to come flockin back though, the club has alienated a lot of fans and it will take more than a couple of decent signings to win them back
It could be down to a dawning recognition that season ticket sales were disastrous and that something significant had to be done to turn that around. I've got to admit, so far, not a bad effort.
We have cleared a massive amount of dead cost with overpaid players though and I'm sure that was part of the strategy to get rid of McEveley, Doyle & Gray. Saved on Preece, brought in money for Vaz Te and compensation for Butterfield and granted we bought in a couple of players in Dawson and Collins but I can't see them being big earners. Thats a lot of possibility to pay some decent wages. I reckon it was always Hills intent to bring in quality in the summer and thats just what he's trying to do and seems to be doing.
