    Hi guys

I move house next week, and need to get a burglar alarm fitted. Could anyone recommend anyone in Barnsley/Rotherham area, and does anyone know much it's gunna roughly cost to get one fitted? I just want a basic alarm, nothing too fancy.

    Thanks guys

Get down to the local RSPCA, or dogs home.

We had a break in a good few years ago_Our dog scared em off. The the police that turned up said no-one responds to an alarm. They just roll over and moan about whats woke them up. A dog does the trick.

Get a decent sized dog. Whoever breaks in, won't do it again!!

the police dont even respond to an alarm

I phoned them a few times to say the restaraunt across from me alarm was going off, think about 2 hours later they turend up said no sign of a break in so they would just leave it. As in going off. It is true that people ignore them and with good cause they do just go off a lot and keep people awake.

    Number in phone book.

Had a new one done a couple of months back. All wireless so no mess, connects to phone line so if it goes off you can set it to call your mobile (plus 3 others), about £350 for large 3 bed house, a couple of extra contacts will take it up to about £500.

Good firm, no bother, and because its wireless they're in and out within a couple of hours.
