EFL should deal with Burton for not doing enough to get the game on. They should also deal with them and the ref for the game being called off so late.

They should also fine the weather for being so inconsiderate with its timing.

That is absolutely shocking, how they ever thought that they could get that sorted prior to kick off is beyond belief

No because that would be thick. But clubs should be dealt with for postponed games. Get a Wimbledon centre court type cover over it. Refs should get there sooner so it can be called off sooner.

An hour before kick off when it's been raining all day and Carlisle coming the distance they have to. Piss take.

I noticed the floodlights on around. 5:15pm. And thought that's a bit early. But it was banging it down as well. Now I know why.

One of those maybe where the weather was the problem at the time. Rather than pre judged. Ours could have been. Got to feel for the Carlisle fans though.

The worst pre judgement has to be our game at Oldham when it was called off b4 the ko for fog. Most folk were already there or nearby. And it had totally cleared b4 the actual ko time. The Nob. (Referee)

George Cain. To make it worse, when the game was eventually played the Tuesday after 'twas the infamous Gunnar Halle "dive" with no Barnsley player within 5 yards. Penalty.

    Double Knobhead :):)

In this case, the decision could've easily have been made earlier, unless the pitch was unplayable because of a week's worth of rain falling in a few hours yesterday afternoon.

The rainfall gauge at Overseal (not far down the road from Burton) recorded 3.2cm of rainfall in the last 24 hours - mostly between 1pm and 7pm yesterday...

February is supposedly one of the drier months, so it was about 66% of the normal rainfall for the month in 6 hours.
