Scared to death that today's win will persuade the powers that be that the cheap option is worth a shot. Today was dire. The fightback will be short lived. We don't want to repeat the Simon Davey era and rob ourselves of a very good Academy coach into the bargain.

A manager that will re-generate is needed. Rosler or Di Canio (or maybe Adkins) would fit the bill. Johnson can't - he might turn out OK, but he might be another Hill/Flitcroft. We can't afford that risk.

Good post, sensible post I don't think they will go down this route. We want bums on seats and a shot at the Championship and it's not going to happen under Burton and they know it.

    thats the problem
    I thought that too.
To me we need a experienced manager. If Burton does get it, I'll for one will be very disapointed

50% win rate. Aren't stats all we care about... Can't disagree though I know Mark would do his best he isn't really what we need at the minute.

Dont think he will be given the job. Hes got us the 3 points today not a great display by any means, done his caretaking duties for us to give us a bit of breathing space from the drop zone. Im guessing we will have a new manager by next week whoever that may be, so lets just thank burton today for the 3 points.

I believe in Marks first interview he said he would be in for 3 games, 1 to go?

We were awful in open play. Only created one real chance for Oates in injury time.

No change to the last couple of months in that we're shocking up front. Burton, Wilson & any other manager will have the same problem until Winnall gets fit.
