Completely dominated the midfield, both look class players. Burnley offered very little going forwards and were content to sit deep and made it difficult for us. Better performance but lacked cutting edge.
I just don't get it. I don't understand what people are seeing when they watch Greening. Is constant 2 yard passes to McNulty and Foster worthy of man of the match? I'd love to be able to understand it but I can't.
It's called keeping the ball! If there is a man two yards behind Greening or Buszaky they are still wanting the ball, Perkins and Dawson don't want the ball with men marking them..
But we're not keeping the ball by passing it back to centre halves with poor distribution. We're just eliminating the chance of hurting the opposition.
The thing that's summed up our fans thoughts today was when we had the ball for 2 minutes without them getting near, and then McNulyy gave it it Greening who hit a long pass to Tudgay an it was a poor ball, and everyone clapped? They can't score if weve got the ball.
Buszaky is a class player so far for us. Greening is OK but still baffled as to why he was MOTM again.
I thought Buszaky was MoM tonight but I can understand why Greening got it. I think Greening is quality as is Buszaky but they aren't here much longer so it would be nice if we could get some points on the board while we have them.
Buzz for me too, but that what is announced is picked by sponsors they probably let there lass or one of kids pick it.
Buszaky - always looking for ball and mixing it up with short through balls and long passes; his shots are a bit weak? Greening - a simple and reliable "tidy up" player and we need this. Tudgay - my MoM as he scored (great header) and his control and lay-offs were excellent. REDS were much improved but Hill still needs to address the weak spot (McNumpty) and get O'Brien more game-time.
