Pathetic tosspot yesterday, just like any number of footballers who have demonstrated such petulant arrogant behaviour over the years. I seem to recall he celebrated a boro goal at oakwell as if he'd just won the world cup. Deserves just as much stick, if not more, than any other player, irrespective of whom on here it may upset. Some people need to get over themselves.
I commented yesterday that I thought his behaviour at that corner fiasco was straight out of the Alan Smith Guide to Arrogance text book. He seemed to think he was above the normal rules of the game. I know it was only a minor offence compared to some of the GBH dished out by his colleagues but it was still arrogance of the worst kind. Clapping the ref after getting the card should have got him a red one but, if not, chasing the ref immediately after to debate the point a bit more definitely should have. I'm not saying any of this because he used to play for us. I'm saying it because he played yesterday like he thought he was above it all. Like we were privileged to see him grace our pitch. Fool!!
I didn't go yesterday so I can't comment on said incident however you're right that if a player behaves in a way that grates on fans then they deserve the stick.
Yawn. This is boring though isn't it. Didn't go so can't really comment I suspect he behaved llike a modern footballer. Are we going to have multiple threads every time Josh Scowen dives which is an increasing problem.
Didn't go yesterday so can't comment on the incident but I take your word for it. Encapsulates everything wrong with these overpaid prima donnas and spoils the game. If Mr Whitey gets upset over it then so be it. It ain't the end of the world
Didn't go yesterday so can't comment on his attitude. But every time Butterfields been back go Oakwell he's looked very poor. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
