Look half the players they did when at Oakwell.

Butts looked slower than ever. At Least half a stone overweight and definitely not fit enough to last 90 minutes.

Looks like he's gone back years to me.

Shackell no confidence to carry the ball. Hoofing it out of touch every time.

Take nothing away from us they we made them looked poor. Butterfield was blowing after 20 minutes from the pace of Kent and Bree.

    Fantastic Reds!

So would I but he'd struggle with the intensity of our play.

Similar to Moncur he'd only suit the 4-4-1-1.

He had a decent season last season Butterfield didn't he? Can't really judge him on 55 minutes like but top marks for our players with all pressure and intensity, great win/

I'm guessing they're on approximately double the wages of our players in equivalent positions. Are they twice as good?

Why did Butterfield get booed? Have I missed something? Pretty sure he didn't leave on bad terms & that he didn't get booed the last time he came back.

Always good to see Shackell get would up. Enjoyed Watkins pushing him into the advertising boards early on

Shackells best days are behind him.

Butterfield is a good player when played in his proper position and given a proper run in the side, something he hasn't had since being with us and Huddersfield.

At first I'd thought we'd struggle because they looked much bigger than us - then I realised they were nearly all over weight - have they had a preseason?

Jason Shackell is the single most overrated player in the history of human kind.

He had a decent season with us. Everytime I've seen him since he's been absolutely atrocious.

There was a game a couple of years back for Burnley against Leicester and he put in the single worst performance I've ever seen from a defender.

What impressed me most about us was our fitness Derby were blowing out of their arses in the 2nd half!

The ability to price/cost scale isn't linear.

    Depends on your formation.

But Butterfield is a much better footballer than Scowen. If you're looking for a comparison.

Thankfully Pearson played Butterfield on the wing, I'm not saying it would have changed the result but I'm sure he would have been more affective

I thought he had left on bad terms? Sure at the time he left people on here were disgruntled that we'd nurse him back to full health and he left us for a pretty paltry fee at tribunal, but could be wrong.

I didn't boo him didn't see the point. Loved him even more after his part in our goal when he got done for pace, but then he'd been blowing for a while even before then.

Think there was an incident the other year when he was at the ground, and the way he left put a sour taste in the mouth. Leaving for a very low fee at tribunal rather than sign a new contract and letting us get a proper transfer fee. I can completely understand why he wouldn't do that, but Cryne doesn't strike me as the type of owner who'd stop a young kid moving on, Stones and Holgate for example. In fact selling young platers on is the entire business plan.
