Shame he wont be a tarn laiker by the time it comes around. In fact, he will be sat on someones bench - at best - and nowhere near the Olympics. I am a massive admirer of the lad, but he isnt one of the top 10 British midfielders, even at that age group. Not yet, but if he signs up and stays with the manager that has got him playing like this, who knows?
That is a good point Whitey. He is already on the list so he now needs to be playing regularly. He will be off the radar if he goes to a PL club and slips into reserve football. I will bet he is buzzing at the thought of going to the Olympics so maybe he might start thinking that he needs to play regularly.
He doesn't have to be one of the best ten in his age group.... They will be involved at euro 2012 or the u21 championships, and so won't be considered. I think this just says he's not in the frame for the u21s squad, but he's one of a few in contention for the olympics. good luck to him ...quite an honour.
Indeed Fired, good luck to him. But I stand by my comment. If he leaves us before then he wont be at the Olympics. He would be welcome to pop round to mine and watch the womens volleyball, or synchro
