    anyone know when it runs til? my mate says it's up in december but that can't be right, not seen it mentioned on here?

    thanks, i really hope we don't get shafted this time. i dont think it'd be in his interest to move on just yet anyway.

    As Butterfield is under 24 then we should be fine. The club need to ensure they offer him a contract (in writing) within a timeframe. If they do that then even if he does leave, we'd still be entitled to money set by a tribunal.

    He'll only be off if he plays well, which can only bode well for us. I think he's becoming a much better play under Hillcroft, so hopefully he'll realise that it's best for his development to stay here.

    As he is under 24 he could simply choose to leave anyway and the club couldn't stop him, but they would be entitled to compensation.

    he said in a recent interview that PLAYING first team football was important to him. hes played about 80 times for barnsley and he said hes happy with thay when you look at other players of a similar age.
