Button worth a bid?

Like the look of him - Three experienced keepers in front of him at spurs - worth a cheeky bid?

 

If Steele goes then possibly, if not though we don't need another keeper.

 

We need one to replace Preece

 

yeah all day long if you can get him on half the wage steele takes home then very much worth a contract

 

he won't come and sit on bench and so wont steele.

 

I don't think Spurs would let him go - he's played for England at youth level and seems to be highly rated.

But, food for thought - I said to me old man on the way out of the ground, he did well, and the more you think about it, every season there seems to be a few decent keepers available for loan from premier league clubs who can cut it at Championship level. I'm sure Spurs would be happy to let him go for at least the next couple of years.

Given that our most saleable asset is Luke Steele - and don't get me wrong, I think he's great - is there an argument to sell him and rely on the loan market for our no.1 keeper for the next few years?

Just a thought, albeit probably a mad one.

 

Can't see him coming just to sit on the bench. Worth a bid if we lose Steele though.

 

Two very old goalies in front of him, makes no sense to sell him unless he wants to go.

 

Where's Steele going? You really think someone would buy him after he got back to his usual antics?

 

Usual antics? He makes the odd mistake, but he's always been one of the top keepers in this division.
