    Oh I do, but I prefer it on a home made scone rather than inside a magazine.

    Best in the country (well, last time I went it was) is Pollys Tea Rooms in Marlborough. Great chunky scones, a bowl of home made strawberry jam and a bowl of whipped cream. Just fantastic and a nice place to eat it on a winter's afternoon.

    First time I went there Carol Drinkwater was sitting in the corner reading a book over her afternoon tea. Was already drooling over my scones but that put the icing on top!

    Forgot to say, I am talking mid-1980s when she was either still in All Creatures, or had just left it.

    Biggest mistake James made getting rid of her and bringing the Oxo lady in instead!
