I agree. Yet the people of my generation who grew up with the original Star Wars kicked off about the Phantom Menace and the fact that JarJar Binks was a camp stereotype only there for comic effect. That and the film was a bit *****.
C3PO is a prissy homosexual robot, like Niles Crane if he was a gold translator droid. EDIT: Not that Niles was gay but the actor who played him was and he played him that way. Interestingly, Kelsey Grammer was virtually the only straight male actor on Frasier, the actors playing Niles, Martin, Bulldog, Gil and Noel are all gay.
