Looking at buying large cable drum like one pictured to make into a table for my bar by just making the diameter of one of the ends smaller. but probably won’t fit through my gate to my back garden as I only have a single gate between my house and garage. My garage door is sealed up as I now have French doors on the side to my garden. Ive been told if I took the drum apart I’d never get it back together. Anyone know if that is correct. It’s only £20 so no great loss if not but would I be wasting my time?
What about your neighbour? Will it go through to their back garden and give it the ol heave-o over the fence?
If it doesn't go back together you could buy some symbols and a couple of sticks. At least you'd have a drum kit.
Both sides are exactly the same. If I did over the back I wouldn’t like to be the person catching it on other side
Usually built with long draw bars(big bolts and nuts) with wooden lats in middle. So in theory, either take the lats out and outsides will push in and then replace lats after or take bolts out.
I took one apart and made a rocking chair out of it a few years ago. It was a bit of a pain to take apart but nothing too difficult, it's a 2 person job though as we needed one on either side to unscrew the rods that held it together.
I'd invite some friends round to lighten the load and maybe have a barbecue after a good heave ho. The more the merrier.
