A poor decision, in my opinion, not to start with Cadden today. He's our main attacking threat. He is happy to take a man on, is a great crosser and has a very good shot. I have seen nothing so far from Dodgson to suggest he should take Cadden's place.

Cadden should start every game. Dodgson seemed to have no clue how to take a defender on going forward and was running in treacle chasing back.

Strange decision imo not to start him, we also have Shepherd on the left who has does nothing wrong but is dropped for no reason, why do whe play loanees as opposed to our own players?

I agree with you totally re Shepherd. I was surprised to hear that McCart was given the Player Of The Match award. He looks short on skill to me, and until the later stages, when he did finally put a decent ball into the box, he seemed afraid of taking any responsibility, passing the ball back to where it came from on almost every occasion. So frustrating, and a big contrast to the long crossfield passes we often saw from Kitching.

Our wing backs seem to do better coming on from the bench. I’m mainly thinking of Cotter and O’Keeffe with that. Dodgson also did well off the bench to get a start too though.

Agree with Cadden. He should be starting games when he’s fit.

I didn't think Cadden did enough when he came on to reclaim his place in the starting line up.

I've said elsewhere that I think Cadden has been poor this season. I thought he looked more like himself coming off the bench today.

I do. He put one cracking ball in that Cole nearly got on the end of. Dodgson never did anything like it.

It's getting a bit alarming how many of last seasons quality players are deemed to be looking poor this season. Cadden, Kane, Phillips, Williams can't all of become bad players since Duff left.

Cadden just doesn't look in form to me. Simple as that. He hasn't become bad, just not playing at the same level.

The other three are all playing different positions or roles to last season. Probably taking time to adjust to the new demands being made of them and the new manager's expectations.

And we're missing Luca. I don't think you can write off the difference he makes to the team. For example, Kane is given much less defensive responsibility when Luca is playing alongside him in midfield. He can concentrate much more on staying slightly higher or wider and driving forward with the ball or playing a more incisive kind of pass. Similarly, Cadden will know that if he's gone forward Luca will be able to cover the gap he's left should the attack fail giving him time to return to his position.

I don't believe any of our squad have become bad players this season. I don't believe Duff made them hugely better. We had a good team. We still do. We have an issue that is partly due to a change in manager and style and a key player being out of the side and it's taking time to adjust.

I wasn't criticising you mate, more a case of suggesting that we just don't seem to be getting the best out of some of last seasons important players.
Hopefully Collins can find a balance soon and kick on.

I think if you gave me the option of starting with 11 players including Connell or 12 players from our squad not including Connell I'd take the 11. I said at the start of the season that we'd be in trouble if he misses more than a handful of games.
