Calling all tecchy-types - laptop help required

Whenever I've needed help and advice in the past, I've always turned to the BBS as a reliable source, so I'm hoping that someone can help me this time. I'm looking to buy a laptop and this model has been recommended (see link below) - I'd be grateful if someone 'in-the-know' could take a look and let me know what they think, or maybe suggest an alternative. What are you wanting the laptop for?

If you are wanting one to carry around with you then something like that would be good. If you are simply wanting a desktop replacement (that you only use in the house) then I would recommend something with a bigger screen with a fine resolution. You can upgrade hard drives, memory etc. but for me, the screen is all important.

 

Funny you should say that as ...

the person who recommended this model said that I should go for at least 2GB RAM with Windows Vista. 'cclonline' has this version (slightly different model) with 2GB RAM, which may be a better option?</p>
