Steve's son. Highly rated teenage midfuelder at Ilkeston, joins us on trial next week.

The lad Chippendale who laiked tonight was a trialist too.

I wonder if the lad Chippendale had a model performance.

Ilkeston have a really good system of signing loads of players released from football league academies then selling them on. They're pretty successful too. It's where Che Adams came from

You've brought back memories of his spectacular penalty miss. Has the corner flag recovered yet?

Chippendale led the line well last night, missed a good chance in 2nd half. Templeton played well 1st half but seemed to run out of steam in 2nd.

Was this Chippendale lad the one who was released by Huddersfield, Inverness, Bury and Accrington Stanley? Only one I can find.

If so he's 5 foot 8, winger. Seems to do enough to get a contract at a club then does very little and is released.

He's only 23 so who knows, may have developed, but I would be surprised if he signs permenantly.

Good luck to the lad if he does.

Seems like he had a good season at Stalybridge. Managers player of the year. 8 goals from wing.

Perhaps he just took a few years to develop into a player.
