Not likely to move this window according to this article.

    https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/the-...barnsley-future-and-settling-in-south-london/

What's the chances of him coming back in the summer, and not managing to find a move to a championship side, so being available for us again? Contracted for another 2 years. Could be a James Coppinger type situation, when he went on loan to Forest amidst his 51 year Doncaster spell.

I remember a lot of Millwall fans raving and smugly telling us how they've taken our best player etc. And when we said he's had a poor season and not a patch of himself from the season previous, so needs to nail down a proper position and work on it consistently, got accused of being salty and bitter... Wonder what they think now? Not exactly been a brilliant success story, other than his first 2 games.

I'd love it if they didn't want to buy him because he's had a poor season, then he comes back, gets his head down and smashes it for us next season! I'd love to see him under Duff tbf.

He has carried on his form from last season, which is great for those of us who don't want Millwank doing well.

Very much doubt it, he'll be on a 'cheap'ish contract for millwall, he's experienced, and very, very versatile. They've already paid a loan fee for the season, and so if they'd return him, they'd have to spend another loan fee for a different player. As I say though I reckon just because he can play LWB/DM/ Midfield/ AM/ LW and even played RW for us, they'll keep him

I'd like to see him back next season and kick on under duff. if it doesn't work out for him this season, I don't think he's really in a position to claim he 'belongs' in the championship

In effective for me. We did the right thing we turned into a better side without him.

Me neither, I don’t think he’ll ever play for us again. He might come back, he might get picked, but I think he’d mope and have no interest.

Says in the article he's had niggles, but has managed 16 Championship games this season, bearing in mind he signed when they'd already played a handful. Only half of those have been starts though.

Vastly overrated and he started to believe in his own publicity.......never be more than average player for me.....also too slow

Don't understand the sudden hate. He turned up for us exactly when we needed it against Forest under Struber and excelled under Val.

Yeah he had a bad season after, but who didn't under the PE teachers schopp and poya? And who could blame any of our players wanting to leave after that and the subsequent relegation.

He's a good player, no doubt.

But, at this moment, does he get Nicky Caddens spot at LWB? no chance. Does he take a spot at centre mid? Maybe..

Styles is easily a Championship left wing back, whose problems I believe started when he moved to different positions.

Nobody would have been calling him ineffective overrated average etc. when he was playing well for us in the right (.i.e. left) area of the pitch.

Was a good left wing back in Vals team but was a little underwhelming further forward last season and it seems he's continuing that form on loan.

Can see him coming back in the summer and smashing it again as left wing back in our Championship side next season o_O

    I would say the opposite.

He could replace Cadden but not anyone else.

He had a poor season last season that is true but in all seriousness do you not think he’d be as effective, if not more, than Herbie Kane on the left of a midfield three with Connell behind and Phillips at his side?

I’d also argue he’s better defensively than Cadden if he were to play on the left, but hasn’t got anywhere near his crossing ability.

Too much weight on his young shoulders carrying the rest of the midfield. (when he played there) which took its toll in the second half of the season imo. And showed. Other than Morris I can't remember any other players showing willing. (Maybe Wolfe when he came into the side late on)
    Quality player no doubt.
