It would be a great story if Gateshead could get back into the football league.

8114 official attendance at Gateshead apparently, unfortunately the way football is (and the proximity of Newcastle United) they'll probably still get ridiculously low crowds for the football league if they go up.

Apparently they only average crowds of about 500 - presumably this is includes away fans.

Football and athletics should not use the same facilities, ever. The set up is all wrong and it never works, it's about as ridiculous as using a cricket ground.

    What arrogance.

Gateshead are as "proper" a football club as any.

The number who attend means nothing. Gateshead are in the final on merit, as are Cambridge.
