Came a right cropper this morning when running

twisted my ankle and ened up sprawling full length across the pavement, battered, bruised, twisted ankle and then pulled a calf muscle, well pissed off, cant see me out running again for a few days
and still not cancelled this wedding so i can get to the Morecambe friendly :'(

 

Can't you use these injuries as an excuse not to go ?

Calf muscle flaring up ? Not able to attend the wedding because of the excruciating pain , then nip off to the match instead .
I'm clutching at straws here though , mate .

Barnsley end though, but probably wearing a Morecambe shirt, my dad and nephew will be in the Morecambe end

Kick off at 3pm so nip to wedding for 1pm then instead of photos and reception go to match and then back to reception for evening afterwards.

We have plenty of relations

some good, some bad and Mum and Dad decided a long time ago that you can't please them all, so we please ourselves and attend family get togethers if we want, not when we are "told" to.

 

trouble is i really like the in laws

most of the time, wouldnt want to upset them

 

But you wouldn't be missing the important bit

the Marriage Ceremony, just the photos and immediate reception.

If they understand you and your passion for football they should understand that the match is a one off and a compromise should be acceptable.

Mention it in passing and see, you may be surprised.
