specifically names jimmy carr yesterday but refuses same treatment on tory supporter gary barlow. the man (camereon) is a disgrace
i think he'll regret naming carr,,he's opened a right can of worms....some of his mates can get ready
the man has made so many gaffs its unprecedented, his tory and press friends have been allowed to run riot with our law system he backs his dodgy ministers yet he's still in power so can't see the jimmy carr incident bothering him. could never be a tory myself or would ever want to but ian duncan smith must be looking at this fool and wondering what the **** have i done wrong.
Double standards of breathtaking level even for a politician He wont discuss individual cases unless they are from an opponent of the tories Its particually ironic bearing in mind how many Tory donors or supporters adopt schemes to minimise their tax bill and how honorable a large number of MP's were over expense claims for example or is that different still he definitely dropped one naming individuals like that - bet he regrets it now
i'm not so sure about that redstar, the majority of the media love a good story, and they know that with money being hard to come by for most people they'll sell their papers by attacking people who are dodging paying their share..
Tory donors pah.. These people blame the fact that they can't sack somebody on the spot for no particular reason, on the lack of economic growth.
Yes, but the Tories fought their last election campaign largely funded by the 'Ashcroft millions' so for their leader and our prime minister to say this is morally wrong is at least hypocrisy of the highest order.
Camerons father used tax havens abroad to help hom build up the families wealth so he could fund his sons politica career. Looks like he forgot about that. http://m.guardian.co.uk/ms/p/gnm/op...apr/20/cameron-family-tax-havens&cat=politics
Chill man...... life is an open road and we should sing a million love songs in our life. Have some patience and never forget where we came from....if it helps just pray. Remember this could be your greatest day and you may even rule the world. hope this helps
Milliband refused to condemn Carr - political opportunism. Anyway, what Carr did is legal if unpalatable to most people and hopefully it will spark a debate into a much fairer tax system that does actually reward (genuine) hard workers and wealth creators and doesn't penalise people for bettering themselves whilst taking lower paid folk out of tax altogether. We as country though need to wean ourselves off the attitude that any money you earn is automatically the Govts to spend and they'll let you keep a bit. I'd rather we turned our attention - rather the Govt turned its attention to Vodafone etc who are illegally avoiding/evading/sticking 2 fingers up to their tax due. Compare and contrast with HMRC's attitude to smaller businesses.
I hadn't read that. Just the same action as Camewrong then. I fully agree about HMRC. Small Business are easy targets. They tend not to be able to afford the fancy tax lawyers and accountants (them again) that the likes of Vodafone can and therefore they get hammered. It is pretty similar to the situation with local councils and the likes of Tesco - the councils can't afford to fight the developments in court so they end up getting through. A fair taxation system is essential to maintain the fabric of society. It should not penalise those who create jobs but conversley it should be seen as everyones moral duty to pay their share - from each according to his ability, to each according to his need. We need a social contract - those earning the most have a duty to help thise less fortunate whereas as those earning nowt have a duty to contribute to the best of their ability and faculties. I'm not suggesting that we force peopel to work but if someone is able to work then they shoudl work, we need to clean the attitude that it is okay to dodge tax as much as we need to clean the attitude that is its ok to dodge work.
