WTF?!?!??!!?!?? Is this a made up story, or did this player, who lets face it, most of us don't think is good enough for Barnsley in League One, really get offered a salary at Leeds that is £800k more, over three years, than the salary he is on now, which, I imagine, is a pretty healthy one? Can Leeds really pay £800k over three years more than a team that has spent most of the past ten years higher up the food chain than themselves? Actually, take it back further. Can such an average player really command £800k plus whatever Ipswich Town are paying him for three years? Does such an average player really make over a million quid by the age of 25? As the answer to this is, seemingly, yes, this is all the evidence you need to see that football is totally fecked! I am totally flabbergasted by this. I wonder how much we are paying for him?
I know, it just looked better in its written form with the 'd on it. You know I like to be a trailblazer.
Innovator. Pioneer. Trailblazer. All words that I've never associated with you. Unless it was leading me head on into trouble.
Maybe he's realised if he can't get in the team at Barnsley then he might struggle from now on so he'd better get some more money in!
He will need that 800k to invest in his own business when he carries on falling down the leagues and can't make it as a professional football player anymore.
