its for the wife shes not a 'techy' just wants ease of use, good battery life and a camera if poss. TA
If you want ease of use and a good battery then you're probably best off buying an older one off ebay. Seriously, over the past three or four years mobiles in my opinion have been going downhill fast. Whereas before you could expect the battery to last the best part of a week (and let's face it, this is the most important thing on a phone) you're lucky if it lasts a day these days what with power hungry functions and large colour screens. Oh, and another thing. Those touch screen keys that phone makers like Samsung are now peddling are an absolutely abysmal idea. They feel "wrong" what with not clicking down under your finger, they're easy to press unintentionally and they are often unresponsive. Everything's rubbish, I tell thi.
not gonna say a make of the actual mobile, but would say that Virgin are the cheapest provider, Tesco do have some very very good deals on mobile phones believe it or not , and the tesco mobile phone server aint bad either
Asda do the cheapest calls and texts - 8p / 4p....
http://www.asda-phones.co.uk/StaticOffers/offers1.aspx
Asda use the Vodafone network so it's best to get a Voda handset to make sure to avoid unlocking charges.
This is a nice little phone for £50 http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/5889481/Sony-Ericsson-W350i-Vodafone-Pre-Pay-Mobile-Phone/Product.html?P36=A6TMCB
There are plenty of cheap, simple phones here - http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/mobile-phones/pay-as-you-talk/viewall/?lstpropertyIDs0r check instore at asda, they often have good deals.

RE: thanks folks nt I am with o2 and find them **** on. My service rarely goes off and for my £20 top up I get 500 texts (i think, i never pay for a text anyway), and 10% back in credit. No time limit on using anything. I try to send more texts than phone people which means I only top up every couple of months. Decent rates on calls too.
