Did he play in any pre season games ? and how did he perform ? and if he did and played reasonable, why is he not playing now with the team crying out for an experienced midfielder ?
He played and played fairly well from what was said before, I would have him in midfield before Hassel anytime, I like Hassel but he's a defender, just wish Davey could see that!
Yes he played, think it was when Davey was recovering from that slipped disk.... When he returned he was sent packing to play in the second string at Sheffield when the first team was losing at Yeovil....... He appeared to be happy and playing well... Also seemed that he was popular with the other players..... I dont think it a mystery.... Davey doesnt get on/like him so he doesnt play. The reasons for that have been rumoured for the past 12months..... We have an experienced midfielder sat in the stand when I think he should be at least making the match day squad. I would think he will be probably earning £2/3k per week, I think its about time we got something for that money and got him on the pitch........ really be honest could he be any worse than Hassle???
If anyone works at BFC who comes on this board, can they pop into Davey's office and see if his internet history shows up this site? He must surely be curious to know what people are saying.
Me and our Adam were discussing this other day. The players must come on here - it'd be too hard to resist seeing what people are saying about you
Wastyke, A lengthy discussion was held down at the training ground last week among the half dozen or so fans who go down. The main topic was Johnson. and the guy who gave us the information had said it had come from the horses mouth. I can only assume that it's Johnson himself. But, this is how it went. Johnson is alledged to have asked for his contract to be paid up so that he could leave. One can only assume it means an overall reduction in the cost, compared to seeing out the full season. Allegedly, the club has agreed and as such Johnson went and got himself a new club. He is still sat at home waitng to be paid up and one can assume again his release. However, allegedly, the club have draged their feet he is still sat at home, not allowed to train and has now allegedly lost the new club he was supposed to be going to. In essemce, from what I can see If true of course, that he has been sabotaged and stuffed good and propper. Think what you will from that.
Here's my assessment of whats happened here Davey has got the hump with the old farts and no lifers that hang around the training ground creating a bad vibe and has banned them, which has turned them against him and now they take any opportunity to exaggerate a rumour that makes him look like a nasty nasty man.
Thanks for that, if this is true either he will leave when the club releases him, providing he gets another club, or if we keep him he will never play again with any conviction. Another one down, they are dropping like ninepins. (doh) (doh)
The 'Johnson Mystery' Andy Johnson disappeared on the evening of Thursday, 3 May 2007 from FunnyGals, just a day after his thirty third birthday, and is still missing. The Welsh footballer was on the town with his manager, Simon Davey, and teammates when he disappeared from an apartment nearby. Andy's manager has said that he left him unsupervised in a ground floor bedroom with Kim Christensen and Sam Togwell while he ate at a restaurant about 130 yards (120 metres) away. The initial investigation by the Polícia Judiciária (PJ) (the FunnyGuese criminal investigation police) concluded that he had been abducted. After further investigation, the PJ stated that there was a strong hypothesis that he might have died in his room. During the investigation there were a number of unconfirmed claimed sightings of Andy in FunnyGals and elsewhere and additional scientific evidence was obtained. The investigation involved the co-operation of the British and FunnyGuese police and demonstrated the differing methodologies employed by each, with regard to such aspects as the amount of information released to the public and the legal status of those involved in the case. TFP, a local resident, was given arguido (suspect) status on 15 May. Simon Davey was also named as an arguido on 7 September. Both were cleared, with their arguido status lifted, on 21 July 2008. The FunnyGuese Attorney General closed the case, without a result, also on 21 July. The disappearance and its aftermath were notable for the breadth and longevity of the media coverage. This was initially due to the active involvement of the manager in publicising the case and to several awareness-raising campaigns by international celebrities and, latterly, to the interest that arose from the manager being named as a suspect. The event generated international media attention with controversy surrounding the FunnyGuese-led police investigation and the actions of Andy's manager. There has also been criticism of the extent and nature of the publicity and of the reporting of the disappearance in both the FunnyGuese and British media.
It's interesting that he played when Davey was ..... ...... in the hospital - I take it Ryan Kidd and Kelham O'Hanlon do not share the same grudge against him as Davey then - what other possible explanation can there be than that if he got binned off immediately that Davey returned to the club? I'm surprised that Christiansen, Togwell, Johnson, Kozluk or Letheran hasn't smacked the clever tw*t
he is on a bit more than 2 or 3k a week, that comes from a very reliable source at where i work who is best mates with him, AJ is a good player just likes the beer a bit but he should be given a chance
I think this sums up that the anti-Davey position is personal not football related Personally, I want someone who keeps us in this division and gets us to FA Cup semi finals, not someone who I think is a good bloke, or would get on with.
