Re: Can anyone explain why I've just passed a gritter on the M5 with the matrix signs Result! Found out what it was, the heat starts to melt the Tarmac so gritters are sent out to spread crushed rock, apparently it's better than the risk of chunks of Tarmac being ripped up by vehicles!! So there we go, gritters in summer, I'm not going mental after all!! Lol
Re: Can anyone explain why I've just passed a gritter on the M5 with the matrix signs How come the tarmac in Spain doesnt get ripped up then???
Re: Can anyone explain why I've just passed a gritter on the M5 with the matrix signs Different ingredients in the road surfacing in different countries. Over here we have road surfaces that have to cope with (or don't, as the case may be) +30C to -30C!
Re: Can anyone explain why I've just passed a gritter on the M5 with the matrix signs Every year we get tarmac melting in this Country, why not just alter the bloody mixture a little????
Re: Can anyone explain why I've just passed a gritter on the M5 with the matrix signs Way too difficult, far easier to keep grinding the country to a halt doing re-surfacing.
