Ihave been a number of times and each time I booked a mystery hotel with last minute.com, all were reasonable well placed good value but I cannot remember their names. But i have not been disappointed with the mystery hotels from them. Only problem is if you want a specific area etc. this may not be for you.

Hi, before moving here I always stayed at the Terrass Hotel. Excellent location for Monmatre and the Sacre Coeur. Place de Clichy is 5 mins walk for good metro link and near the Moulin Rouge! Hope this helps but PM mes if you need more info.

We stayed at the Best Western Lorette Opera

Walking distance of Monmatre & Pigalle for a drink, Sacre Coeur etc and smack across from St Georges Metro.
Trains go under the hotel so not one for a light sleeper! Also, when you book online breakfast is not included. On arrival, however, they will make out that it is and direct you to the breakfast rooms, then sting you with a bill of 13 euros per person per breakfast on departure. So ignore them unless you specifically booked B&B, and get your breakfast elsewhere.

Otherwise, clean, pleasant and friendly. The metro 20 yards away gets you to all the sights of the city and if you drink round Pigalle (bit red-lighty but generally safe except perhaps in the early hours) you can walk home if you miss the last Metro.

Not perfect but worthy of recommendation - you could do much worse.
