want to download some FLV files and watch them offline. Can anyone recommend a decent spyware free player. Seem to recall REAL PLAYER did this at one time, but website not very helpful. Seems to be a few out there but never heard of any of them

I've been using GOM Player for quite a long time... it can play loads of different types of video files (including FLV) and it doesn't have any of those useless features that Windows Media Player or Real Player for example have.

Perhaps there are other better choices, but GOM Player is free, easy to use, and loads quickly.
You can get it from here if you're interested:

got a cheap electric and 10W amp 2 christmas's ago. played with it a while but lost interest and motivation trying to learn from e-books, but i watched about an hours worth of the videos and was really impressed. Might give me a bit of impetus to give it another go.
