    Who works Hoyland way.

For the Robster? 11 year old Cairn. My Mam's old one has stopped going mobile and has taken root in Cudworth which is a bit of a trek. She found one in Hoyland who picks them up, but he came back practically skinned and a nervous wreck.

    Ta!

Get in touch with Rivendown they're in Hoyland. Very, very good. Not sure if she will have any space for new clients but worth a try.

Thanks, but they're the ones who performed the Edward Scissorhands scalp job! My Mam said "let them practice on somebody else's bloody dog!" Plus the whole experience was traumatic even if you could rein in the clipper-happy groomer.

    Thanks anyway. :)

That's surprised me but saying that it's a good few years since I've been so maybe it's not the same groomers. One at Mapplewell are good but don't know if they collect.

I once had my West Highland hand stripped because I was told it gives the best shape. She came back absolutely traumatised. Then I found out that they pull the hair out in strips with their hands. Poor little bugger no wonder she was in pieces literally.

It's not as bad as it sounds, the coat has to be ready though and if it has not been hand stripped since it was a youngster then whoever did that shouldn't have. The coat changes texture if it is always shaved down. And it's not pulling it out with their hands by the way that would take forever.
