I'm wanting somert pretty cheap to listen to on the train on the way to work. I'm not fussed about top specs or anything like that, just something cheap, cheerful and small that isn't going to break down after no time at all ...
RE: I have got a PURE , if you are Barnsley the recepyion is appalling though. Train from Fitzwilliam to Leeds, so maybe I'd be better off with just an ordinary AM/FM analogue ...
Dab Radios tend not to work very well on trains and buses. My one is hopeless and others I know who have them say they are poor in moving traffic etc. I bought my Dab for the same reason - to listen to football etc when travelling to away games. It's been hopeless. Won't work at all on the bus and the train is no better. Had to go back to using my little am radio.
Pure
Just got one and its great, was £49.99 I think from John Lewis.
I think you can get a TalkSport branded one which is a bit cheaper too.

RE: Pure not go far wrong with pure,i,ve got one of these evoke 3 that records radio great piece of kit it is.
