I'm after something really light and portable but something that can hold it's own power wise with a decent processor, good sized hard drive and plenty of RAM.

    Budget £1,200 - anybody?

Dell - for £729 you can get one with Dual processor (2GHz and 800 MHz) 2Gb memory, 250Gb hard drive.

Check on the website and you can probably increase the RAM and Hard drive size as well.

I've got a tower system on order and doubled memory to 4Gb and increased hard drive capacity for an extra £50

I've got a Macbook at the minute, am after something Vista based this time, but it needs to be SMALL, checked out Dell but not so sure, like the look of the Sony ones but a bit pricey for a good spec, am just on Toshiba's website having a browse.

I have a Toshiba equium and very impressed

It's about 18 months old and never had a scrap of bother with it - they have more up to date models in this range and they look impressive - saw them in currys, comet and PC world last week

Very small and light, mines a couple of years old now so i'm sure the new version will have improved spec.

Very impressed with build quality and screen. Would recommendend them, I've had a Fujitsu before this one and that was also good.
