when every home game the team would line up on halfway line and wave to the crowd and every couple of games kick footballs in for kids

I think it was the 1978/79 season. Allan Clarke introduced the waning to the crowd as they had done it at Elland Road in his Leeds days.

    RE: A bloody mary

With a dash of pepper and a stick of celery thrown in for good measure..... I once had one in Greenwich one Sunday dinner time. The barman asked what i'd been drinking previously and he added a dash of lager and a bit of guinness - it was in a half pint glass - and it certainly did the trick 100 per cent!

I'm being very restrained so far

I intend to open a nice bottle of my namesake at 2 o'clock and slip slowly into a stupor. And to think they said I have no ambition.

    Sausage & Mash...

I trust you shall be having a side dish of mustard to accompany the dish? (dribble)
