One Saturday we went to Oakwell in the morning and there were scores of people helping the ground staff to clear what seemed like a foot of snow off the pitch but match was called off later in the morning. Also, in the absence of the internet and teletext it was hard to get solid proof that the games were on or off. Kids dont know theyre born today!
