Just click on the find pals link and then you can read about the child and the illness. Please spare a few minutes to send them or their families a message of support. A simple hello makes all the difference. Thank you. Laura x
good post unfortunately whatever happens to us all there's always someone else far worse off. it's amazing how strong the families need to be and are when their children are seriously ill. Did outreach work in Newcastle about 7 yrs ago. feel a bit guilty that i gave it up but until i started helping i had no idea how valuable just a few hours break can be if there was natural justice rapists and murderers would be ill and and all these unfortunate yet brave souls wouldn't be
It does mean a lot to families to be able to have a little break now and again. People like you who help families to do this are very special.
Just to let you know Abbie, the little girl whose story was the first link Laura posted, lost her fight to live yesterday morning. R.I.P. Abbie http://www.postpals.co.uk/palPage001.php?id=114
So very sad There are many times I wish the world we lived in was fair but unfortunately it is not - and stories like this remind me of that fact very strongly.
There's another Angel in Heaven tonight. God Bless you little Abbie, your suffering is over. My thoughts and prayers go to her family. Love from Laura x
