    I happen to live 5 miles from Blackpool. Also 5 miles from Preston.

    Not too handy for home games though!

    Must admit I thought it was 25 miles or so - but according to the RAC its 18 so I still think my post is valid but not by quite as much as I thought

    7.8 miles from kirkham to preston & 8.8 miles from kirkham to blackpool

    I was being sarcastic at the others

    ...but when you type in kirkham in one box and preston & blackpool in the other on the RAC site you get 7.8 & 8.8 miles respectively. Maybe your mileages are just to the outskirts
