Odejayi is still the player today that he was yesterday. Pretty poor. Sub standard, and has scored 3 goals in nearly 40 appearances.

Poor man's Heskey has earnt us a bob or two and turned himself into a cult hero. The last one we had ended up playing his football 2 divisions lower, and I fear thats the level KO really should be at.

The lad just needs some confidence

Keep knocking him though, and he'll never improve. Can you wait until the end of the season please to keep his feet on the ground and help him realise he's *****, we need him to do more like he did last night for a few games.

Not many players give Terry a hard game like that. He was outstanding and deserved the applause he got.

Unbeleivable

its dickheads like you who get on player's backs and destroy their confidence. Give the lad a break.

You're right ...

His scoring record is appalling. He's had matches when I've sat and watched him and wondered how he was ever passed off as a professional footballer let alone a striker.

HOWEVER - to say that he is the still the same player, I think you are wrong. The same Odejayi was incapable of producing a display like that, it was a different Odejayi we saw today.

Whether that was:

a) A one off fluke fluke; or
b) A sign of things to come (which in fairness to Davey he has always said)

... only time will tell.

Hopefully that will give the lad the confidence to express himself without fear of reprisal from the fans and perhaps realise the potential we've been hearing about. To brand him a continued failure after just running the England captain ragged is very harsh though. How about giving the lad a pat on the back and hoping he'll continue to prove his doubters wrong.

He might not - but lets wait and see eh?

For me

Odejayi looked a decent prospect in the first few games as he showed determination. Then it just went. We saw it back yesterday but the challenge for him is to show he can do it regularly. Though this could be said for most of the players.
I feel a bit sorry for Kayode because i have a lot of respect for any player who plays for us with effort. Good luck to him.

I'm prepared to give him more time as I think ar KO (aka "Colin") has just been lacking match confidence.

I hope that the goal yesterday gives him the boost that he needs to build on and become a stronger player.

So what

The prize money and gate receipts from this game and the next will more than cover his transfer fee and wages.
If he stays for 3 years and never scores again the worst we'll do is break even on him.

Well done for being the first to say what you did but if, after a performance like that, you can't manage 12 hours without criticizing him, there's something wrong with you.

Not related to his performance on the pitch but in his post match interviews I thought he showed a huge amount of maturity and grace - mentioned the stick he gets and accepted it without complaint. Good for him.

I was so proud of him yesterday he was outstanding, he proved to everyone he has it in him, just needs the confidence and the backing from his fans. Well done and Kozluk was amazing as well.

You're sick. It's like you want him to prove you right. You're a danger to the club. The lad has had some poor performances - but if he gives us a performance like he did against Liverpool, and the follows it up with a sensational performance against Chelsea - the lad has got to be given encouragement to continue. He's got potential, and we should get behind him (and the rest of the players). A breath used in booing a single player is a breath wasted. Personally, if there is one thing that this cup run has taught me is that the cynical attitudes of 'foregone conclusions' needs to be shaken up. That lad could go on to do brilliant things, if he gets the right coaching and the proper amount of support. I hope that he doesn't read your post, you fecking idiot. I'm willing to say that my idea of Odejaye was wrong (and I'm glad to say it). Are you man enough to say the same? You fecking child.

Rubbish

Odejaye started the season well, scored and assisted in the friendlies and made a nuisance of himself in early season. He scored against Scunny and then lost form and confidence. Dont forget that a lot of those games you mention we short term substitute appearances. He helped get us our win at Liverpool, draw at Scunny and Yesterday was awesome in scoring and making the Chelsea defence look very ordinary.

Why, in the light of such a brilliant occasion you would want to be so negative beggars belief.

He gives us another option just like the rest of our strikers. They all do different jobs.
