Was quite impressed with wiseman last night, I haven't been able to get to many matches due to work commitments and quite a few of lads I've spoken to don't rate him but I've got to say I thought he had a solid game last night, Take a bow son
He had 1 dodgy moment Put it down to bad judgement or lack of experiance. But when Rodriguez hit the bar it came from Wiseman heading the ball to prevent a throw in, which im sure would have been a Barnsley throw. But he won the header and ended almost sat in the Eaststand leaving Rodriguez free to break into the area unchallenged and rattle the bar. But apart from that he did very little wrong.
His contribution last night was one of the positives for me when prior to that I thought of him as a weak link and now he is showing signs of why he was given a 3 year deal, a year more than the other Hill recruits.
Re: He had 1 dodgy moment Wiseman's form has steadily improved with each game. Thats why its futile to write em off after 3 games as 'lower-league dog-doo' Not yet Sir Bobby, but a more than able deputy on yesterdays showing. McNulty looks the find of the season, Fozzy is maturing like a fine wine and apart from one typical error he was imperious as per. And Edwards didnt look a player just back from a long-term injury - immense. The composure of the back 4 was a big plus. Very assured. And a quick word for Doyle. He will take some shifting. His pace, and range of passing has improved beyond belief. Perks has stiff competition. Bonus!
Re: He had 1 dodgy moment I remember that, but I remember being more annoyed with Fozzy for not going to the man with the ball, following his runner instead. Unforgivable.
Re: He had 1 dodgy moment a very good player. looks very assured and rarely gives the ball to the opposition
Re: He had 1 dodgy moment thought doyle was a bit off parr last night. A couple of time where in the past he would have won the ball he just didnt do it
Best performance for us last night from Wiseman. I was quite excited by him in pre-season but he didn't carry that form forward into the early games. Maybe he was a bit over-awed/taken aback by the Championship but he has improved gradually as the games have gone on.
Re: He had 1 dodgy moment Doyle seems to me to be to be more of a confidence player than anyone else in the team. When we are under the cosh he finds it difficult to have the presence to display the calm we need to try and reassert control. Or maybe he's just the first to look overwhelmed by the opposition Summat to do with the gloves
