All this rubbish about Davey and hating him etc..etc... The guy is doing what he thinks is right, he knows a great deal more about the in and outs of football than any of us do or ever will. I think its fair to say that given a squad of 20 names the people who post on here would pick several different starting 11's. I remember sitting for nearly a whole season with a guy near me telling everyone that Hignett was crap .... so everyone has a different view point ! So, whether you agree with him or not lets keep things in perspective and show the guy some respect please.
spot on that man. think most people who support barnsley are pleased with Davey keeping us up on a shoe string, bring in players who, if injury free, improve us year on year, and got us to a bloody FA cup semi final. Beating Liverpool and Chelsea still gave me my biggest football high!! and that was thanks to Simon Davey.

I agree,hate is a strong word to use , I'm ambivalent towards him,but if you gave 10 different managers the same squad of 20 names you'd get several different starting 11's.
