Can I offer some advice to Messrs Johnson, Cryne, Mansford, Watkins and Taylor

Delete this forum from your favourites and don't come on here again. Do the same with any other Barnsley FC forums. Unfollow everyone on Twitter where the only connection you have is that they're fans of Barnsley FC. Unfriend everyone on Facebook where the only connection you have is that they're fans of Barnsley FC. Stop reading about Barnsley FC on social media. Stop writing about Barnsley FC on social media. Don't listen to praise or grumble on Radio Sheffield. Don't read the letters page in the sports section of The Chronicle.

You do not need customer feedback 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It does not help.

If you continue to read and listen to the criticism, it's going to destroy you, I don't care how strong you believe you are. But if you don't read it and you don't listen to it, it can't hurt you. It just can't. Barnsley FC survived over 100 years before the world wide web was invented, never mind social media. BFC will function perfectly well now if you just switch the social media off.

You have the official website to give out information and can give an interview to Radio Sheffield or The Chronicle as often as you like. You already organise fans forums to receive feedback. You do not need this constant bombardment of a thousand different voices giving a thousand different opinions, the majority concluding you're all ****. It doesn't help with your role at the club and it certainly doesn't help you as human beings, so please, turn it all off.

Do your jobs, but spend some time with your friends and family away from this ******* football club.

Then, once you've stopped the noise, think about what you want and what you think is right. If you genuinely believe the plan will bring success, it's just that it's taking time, and it's something you really want to see through, then stick with it. If you believe you can make BFC a success, don't quit because of the criticism; you can turn 99% of the criticism off. If you have reservations about your ability to bring success, which is not a slight on any of you as people, then bring someone in who you think can achieve that. But please, whatever you do, stop listening to us because it will drive you insane.

Great post Jay and sound advice, if it is affecting him a sabbatical from everything BFC won't go amiss for àll the families .
People forget he was only ever in it to save BFC, not to spend his way to try and get us in premiere.

She's doing fine, thank you, in her final year. She came down for a short break on the day we lost to Fleetwood and we took her back to Carlisle yesterday.

next year you will be seeing a bit more of me... Ann and I can retire early, and thus I can get up to Oakwell a bit... and I do not care what league I will be watching them in ... even if its conference or below... its more than that as you know.
